The innovative WAVE3 is a simple and complete system able to manage
the automation of every machine. A new concept for managing multi-motor
machines, that considers all machine electronics as only one system instead
of separating power and control systems. Wave3 allows to realize advantageous
managements, such as the energy recycling between absorbing and recovering motors, optimizing the consumptions. Thanks to its modular structure, a wide choice for composing and remoting the system is possible. > Wave3 Supply unit (converter) manages both the internal structure and the whole electrical equipment, integrating the machine automation firmware (written by the Customer!). The Supply unit can also manage Remote I/Os that, integrated in only one communication loop, may expand the SYSTEM to the farest machine parts. It can even activates Macros, such as the managements of micro interruptions and mains failure, i.e. the converters' auto-supply, exploiting the machine kinetic energy with the motors synchronism control until the motors stop > Wave3 Power unit (inverter) drives the respective motors. The customer can choose among a wide range of layouts, from the basic modular one in only one drive column to the IP54 or IP66 one. Available also as D Power (Double power) version: 2 inverters inside one case. WAVE 3 POWER unit is available in a wide size range. This combined to the possibility to activate different controls for driving P.M. Brushless motors, asynchronous motors or SSP motors, makes the system complete: - Basic modular structure: studied for being installed inside cabinets, connects together both mechanics and electronics of the several drives, for optimizing spaces and automations. - structure: liquid-cooled system with IP54 protection range, available for motor-mounted and remote applications. Contemplated for a wide power range, also for high power requirements, with a very small size. In the Servo version, the system assures high dynamic performances. - structure: an air-cooled inverter available with IP54 or IP66 protection range, installable on the motor or remotable, assuring a remarkable space and wiring saving. Being part of Wave3 range, different control techniques are available, such as the sensorless vectorial control of the well-known asynchronous motor (SFT “Stator Flux Torque” control) or the SSP motor control. Installed on SSP, it assures:
- Speed Sensorless Control, with accuracy equal to a vectorial control with feedback;
- Space and Position Sensorless Control. Thus, Wave3 structure allows:
Room saving: 60% less than a traditional system
Saving in mounting time and cost: only one mains supply with obvious reduction of electromechanical components.
Energy recycling: the converters are supplied through only one Dcbus. This allows to recover the energy: in fact, the energy generated by the braking motors is absorbed by the other motors working with motive torque. In such a way, a remarkable energy saving is obtained.
Mains failure management: thanks to the peculiar structure with common Dcbus, special managements such as the motors synchronous stop in case of mains failure are available.
